Interview with a Three-Year-Old

Last week, I sat down and asked Jack some questions, with high hopes of getting a glimpse into the life of a three-year-old.

Mostly, he talked about Transformers and poop, so I'd say it was a success.

Read on for more of life's greatest mysteries, solved (my commentary is {bracketed}, and in blue).

Q: What is your happiest memory?
A: Transformers.

Q: Why do you like being a kid?
A: Because I'm not a real Transformer.  I like being a Transformer and a kid.

Q: If you could be any animal, which one would you be, and why?
A: A lion.  A robot lion.  A Transformer lion.  Because I could transform to one, want to see?

Q: What do you like to do for fun?
A: I like to do...transforming for fun.

Q: Tell about a funny time in your life.
A: Claire turned into a maniac and farted and pooped.

Q: What is your favorite thing to do?
A: Play with Cotton Balls.
Q: Why?
A: Because I like cotton balls.  Can I play with cotton balls, please?

Q: What is your favorite thing to do with your friends?
A: Ride my bikes and bump crash!  Knock down them trees.

Q: What do you love most about Claire?
A: I like her poopin' and tootin' and tootin' and running and pushing people.

Q: What was the nicest thing you did for someone?
A: Help them up.

Q: What do you think you will be doing when you grow up?
A: Working.
Q: What kind of job?
A: Building.
Q: Building what?
A: Towers.

Q: Name two things we should do as a family on the weekend.
A: Go to the park, go get ice cream, go to birthday parties.

Q: What is your favorite color?
A: Blue.

Q: Do you know what Daddy's job is?
A: What?  Tooting!  Pooping!

Q: What's Mommy's job?
A: Changing Claire's poopy diapers. {SIGH...pretty much!}

Q: What is your favorite book?
A: Transformers.

Q: What is your favorite thing about our house?
A: I like when Memaw comes over to our house.

Q: What is your favorite restaurant?
A: In-n-Out.

Q: What is your favorite thing that Daddy cooks for you?
A: Macaroni and poo-poo.

Q: What is your favorite thing that Mommy cooks for you?
A: Regular pizza, that tastes like normal pizza.

Q: What do you think the perfect age is?
A: Who for?
Q: For you.
A: What's the perfect age?
Q: How old do you want to be?
A: Seven.
Q: Why seven?
A: Because I want to be older than Ruby and Nikki {these are the neighbors}

I couldn't get a serious answer out of him to save my life, but it was great fun.  In fact, I'm thinking about keeping him on as a regular contributor.  So I hope you like to read about Transformers.  And poop.

  1. That's such a great idea. I feel like I should be conducting interviews with all of my kids!

    1. You should! I have several topics I'm going to interview him about in the near future...I think it will be fun to have when he's older. :)
