What I Made for Dinner

Yes, you read the title of this blog post correctly.  It says, "What I Made for Dinner."  As in, I made dinner for my family.

But that's not all I made!  I made dessert, too (with Jack's help).  Kind of.  More like, a delicious bread that would be awesome at any time of the day but is extra awesome after dinner once you've added a little icing to it.

Everything was so easy, I thought I'd share the recipes here in case you are looking for an easy meal that even a completely novice "cook" can handle.

Crock Pot Baked Ziti (I left the spinach out because I don't like cooked spinach)
Baked Zucchini with Parmesan
Lemon Yogurt Bread
Powdered Sugar Icing (Yes, I even made icing - although I did substitute the vanilla for a tablespoon of lemon juice, which worked well with the bread)

The best part?  Everyone in the house ate everything (well, the kids passed on the zucchini...but they ate the rest and that's a WIN around here).

So, I basically cooked (baked/crock-potted/mixed/whatever!) FOUR THINGS today.  That means I'm pretty much off the hook from cooking until June or so.  Right??

Need more proof that I've cooked (in the form of recipes)?  Check out Grammie's Corn Salad.  And...that's all I've got.  But it's really, really good and that's got to count for something!

  1. Wow It all looks amazing. I love zucchini so I will for sure try that one. You were spot on with the hot chocolate! Have you ever tried lemon muffins/ bread with fresh rosemary? It's wonderful!
